-
All game equipment is provided by UCS (balls are available for purchase online)
- Games are 6 innings or 1 hour time limit from scheduled start time, whichever comes first. No new inning may start with 5 minutes or less of scheduled game time left.
-
11 fielders maximum (4 male & 4 females minimum at anytime on the field)
-
4 balls is a walk, 3 strikes or 3 fouls is an out (fouls & strikes are not counted together).
-
Bunting is allowed.
-
Any kick below the waste is considered a fair kick. So if a pitched ball hits your thigh and rolls into fair territory you better start running or the catcher may make an easy out on you.
-
Encroachment is when a fielder crosses the diagonal line between 1st & 3rd base before the kicker actually kicks the ball or if the catcher jumps in front of the kicker before he/she kicks. On the 1st offense of the game the kicking team gets to choose the result of kick (if kicked) or ball (warning issued). Second encroachment, kicker will choose result of kick (if kicked) or a walk.
-
A fielder cannot make an out by using the safety base, they must use the "fair" 1st base to the runners left.
- You can throw the ball at a runner to get them out, however if it hits the runner on the head or neck the runner is not out nor is it a dead ball. Exceptions are made if a runner is sliding onto a base.
- Play is considered dead, when the ball is in control by the pitcher anywhere on the 8’ pitching mound.
-
A kicker or runner touched by a kicked ball out of the kicking box will be out. No runners will advance and must go back to their original base.
-
A runner injured on the play may be replaced and can return to the game once. The replacement runner must be the last player that kicked out of the same sex. The second time the same runner is replaced the player can no longer participate.
-
If a team is in jeopardy of a forfeit in a regular season game because they have less than four of a certain gender, an arrangement can be made between captains and the league to add a player of that gender for that game (must play with four). The team that adds a player will have an out added to the end of their lineup each time they cycle through.
-
PLAYOFFS: If a team has less than four of the opposite gender for a playoff game the game may be forfeited.
